James Bain

James ?Jim? Bain, age 78, died on Monday evening February 5, 2007 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul.



James Stoker Bain was born August 10, 1928 in Minneapolis, the son of James & Myrtle (Meurer) Bain.

He was raised in Minneapolis and attended Breck School and the University of Minnesota. He was proud to serve his country in the military for 40 years and served on WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He assisted other veterans to ensure they received the benefits they were entitled to. He enjoyed spending time with Trevor and Caleb and taught them decadent war songs.



James is survived by his children James (Kim) of Cottage Grove, Sara Tacy of Maine, Kris of Oakdale; grandfather of Trevor, Caleb, River & Loggan, cousin of Richard (Jean) Anderson; many friends.



Funeral Service 11 AM Friday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. ST. Paul Park (651-459-2875). Interment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 10-11 AM Friday at funeral home. Memorials sto Disabled American Veterans.
