Aschittino
Jacquelyn "Jackie" C.
(nee Krengel)

The world lost a little laughter on Nov. 5 when Jackie Aschittino, age 56, of Oakdale died suddenly.

The second daughter of a career U.S. Air Force veteran and his wife, Jackie's childhood of frequent moves helped give her an enduring sense of humor that brought light to every person and situation she encountered. In addition to her love of sharing her infectious laugh, she delighted in gifting her quilts to warm the ones she loved, especially her beloved son and granddaughters. As one who loved caring for children, Jackie also opened her heart and home to the kids of many friends and family.

Jackie's life was undoubtedly extended by the loving care of her husband and pilot, who dedicated his life to making that of his copilot's as rich as possible. Together, they cruised many miles of blacktop by one other's sides in their collector cars and gained many lifelong friends along the way.

The list of those who loved and lost Jackie is long and includes her husband, Brad Aschittino; her son, Chad Aschittino and his wife Nikki (Walters) and their daughters Saige Rose and Cheyenne Skye; stepdaughter Carrie Aschittino and her children Damion and Crystal; her special aunt Shirley Newman; her sisters Debbie Van Bogart, Shaune O'Bryan, Becky Newman and Debbie Steele; and her many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Duayne and Virginia Krengel and her special uncle Dick Newman.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11 am Saturday, Nov. 10, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 674 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul with VISITATION two hours prior.
