Isabel was born in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Gilbert & Edith(Bollum) MacDougall on September 12, 1927 the 2nd oldest of 5. She grew up in Redwood Falls, and married Burrell Board on July 6, 1947. Isabel & Burrell made their way to Cottage Grove in 1962 after spending some time living in St. Paul & Crystal. Isabel had a love for gardening, a talent for knitting, spent hours upon hours volunteering wherever she could, was very patriotic, she taught all her neighbor ladies how to play bridge, was known for her baking, loved her dogs and was active at Cottage Grove United Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by husband, Burrell; Sister, Ruth McCartin

Survived by Brother, John MacDougall; Sisters Margaret Carasik, Mary Brown; Children, Connie Meyer; Stephen Board (Cathleen); Sandra Christensen (Eric); Beryl Board (Susan). Five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1pm Tuesday at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) with a visitation starting at noon. Interment Immediately following the service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Alzheimers Association.
