Age 89 of St. Paul Park
Raised in Pine City

Passed away on April 4, 2014, surrounded by her caring family. Preceded in death by beloved husband Clayton, granddaughter Leslie, and siblings Stan, Phyllis, Myrtle and Bob. Irene will be forever remembered as a wife, mother, caregiver and the provider of numerous home-baked goods, including confirmation and wedding cakes for multiple generations of family, neighbors and friends. For Irene, the first taste or first serving always belonged to someone else, as she remained the most gracious and generous hostess throughout her life. Regardless of time or day, she was always ready to provide a meal or snack to whomever dropped by.

Services will be held where she and Clayton worshiped regularly since 1950 11 AM Saturday (4/12) with visitation two hours before, and meal to follow at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 1000 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park. Special thanks to White Pines Memory Care Staff in Cottage Grove for their caring and tender support of Irene and her family throughout her time there. Memorials preferred to Leslie A.
