Ilene Moldenhauer

Ilene Moldenhauer, age 97 of Cottage Grove died Saturday evening April 5, 2014 at Woodbury Health Care Center in Woodbury.
Ilene Norma was born January 13, 1917 in Hazel, South Dakota. She was united in marriage with Stanley A. Moldenhauer in Forest City, Iowa on October 15, 1937. She worked for Western Electric and Harvest States GTA for 25 years.
Ilene enjoyed sewing and crafts and was well known for her couch tissue covers for kleenix boxes. She liked to play bingo, make dolls and bake bread. Ilene was a rock hound. She will be remembered as a devoted caregiver.
Ilene was preceded in death by her husband Stanley A.; daughters Jean (Dale) Reinhart, Judith Cerini; sons-in-law James Altmann, Bob VanderHeyden grandson Michael Altmann; great-grandson Joshua Henstein; parents Bertram & Gertrude DeVries; brother Loyal DeVries; sister Gladys Readel.
She is the loving mother of Jacqueline VanderHeyden, Janice Altmann, Stanley B. (Carol); 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Memorial Mass 11:00 AM Saturday (4/12) at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 8694 80th St. S. Cottage Grove with visitation 10:00 – 11:00 am. Private inurnment Resurrection Cemetery.
