Iada M. Cripe, age 76, of Cottage Grove died Monday morning February 11, 2013 at United Hospital in St. Paul.

Iada Margel Coleman was born June 8, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Dwight & Margel (Swanson). She was raised in Webster, Wisconsin and graduated as valedictorian in 1954. On December 31, 1956 she was united in marriage with Robert Cripe at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. She served in the US Air Force. Iada enjoyed traveling and will be remembered as a woman with a kind heart who enjoyed staying busy. She was a devoted grandmother. Iada had a 32 year career with BNSF Railroad; then worked ten years at Community Education.

She is the beloved wife of Robert; loving mom of Daniel Dean; grandmother & great-grandmother; sister of Isla (Ron) Fichtner, Orlo (Joanne) Coleman; cousin of Shirley Lawless; many in-laws; nieces & nephews.

Visitation 9-11 AM Friday February 15 with 11 AM Funeral Service at COMMUNITY UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1145 Summit Ave, St. Paul Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to American Heart Assoc. or Cancer Society.
