Humberto Chavez

Humberto Chavez, age 72 of St. Paul Park, Minnesota died November 4, 2011 after a 3 A½ year battle with cancer at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was an MTC Bus Driver for 23 years, a job which he loved, and would always say that he "made many friends through the years and loved working with the public, therefore my life was a happy life, never a dull moment."

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gregoria; nine children, Gloria Ann Gallegos, Humberto Chavez Jr., Ruben Albert Chavez, Belinda Oa�(TM)Brien, Robert Leonard Chavez, George Cipriano Chavez, Angela Marie Velishek, Diana Doris Thompson, Jennifer Grace Chavez and one step-daughter, Rita Damien Lopez; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Olga Chavez and Mary Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.

The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 6 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Avenue, St. Paul Park with VISITATION starting at 4 pm until the time of service.
