Age 73 of Saint Paul Park, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2008 after a feisty battle with respiratory disease.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, Saint Paul Park, with the Reverend Greg Esty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church and burial will be St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Tilson Family Relief Fund. The Kok Funeral Home of Saint Paul Park is in charge of the arrangements.
Helen F. Klein was born August 5, 1934 in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, the daughter of Paul and Veronica (Nusser) Bickner. She was united in marriage to Charles Klein in the early 1950?s. The couple made their home in Mankato for many years before moving to Saint Paul Park in 1965. Helen had a strong work ethic and was employed for many years at Garelick Mfg. in Saint Paul Park and later Intek Palstics in Hastings, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and gardening and especially enjoyed her family, playing cards and woodworking.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Lynnette) Klein of Milton North Dakota, her daughter, Deborah (Daniel) Tilson, and former son-in-law, Doug Larson all of Saint Paul Park, 8 grandchildren; Amanda Davidson, Mark Klein, Charles Thibido, Michelle, Eric, & Theresa Sveiven, Brian & Alex Tilson, 5 great-grandchildren; Blake, Riley,Darien, Bridgett and Henry, her brother, Kenneth (Gloria) Bickner of Inver Grove Heights, her sisters, Florence Manthey & Pauline Yee both of Mankato. She was preceded in death & reunited with her husband & lifetime love, Charles, her shopping pal & granddaughter, Kristine Larson and great-granddaughter, Zoe Davidson.
