HELEN ANNA (WUNSCH) BOVEE

Helen A. Bovee, age 87 of Cottage Grove, died peacefully at her home on December 9, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Avenue, St. Paul Park, with visitation one hour prior. Interment service at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery will follow.

Helen A. Bovee was born January 9, 1924 the second oldest of five children. As a young lady she met Joseph Bovee at a dance in Anoka and they soon began dating. They were united in marriage on November 2, 1941 in St. Paul. After several years of living in St. Paul they moved to Cottage Grove in 1958. Helen worked at a variety of jobs including operating ammunition presses during World War II, helping in the kitchen at school and also did some house cleaning.
She enjoyed watching game shows, going to the casino, having a supply of tic-tacs on hand and having coffee. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her sons, Steven (Ranee) and Gary (Marlene); six grandchildren, Joe (Beth), Cindy, Theresa, Katrina, Jim (Aimee) and Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Grace, Matthew, Dylan, Hailey and Paige; sister, Ida Edmeyer; brother, John (Joyce) LeMire; and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1991, brothers Al and Hank LeMire.
