Helen was born April 27, 1913 in Medicine Lake the daughter of Richard & Matilda 'Minnie' (Luwke) Weisse. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survived by children Terrence (Mary Ann) of Woodbury, Karen 'Judy' (Brian) Smith of Afton, Lennert (Mary Lynn) of Cottage Grove, Kenneth (Mary Lou) of Newport, Kathleen (Jim) Ashenbrener of St. Paul Park; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Hector; 3 sisters. Last of the great generation.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday April 5 at NEWPORT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 15TH St. Newport with Rev. Mark Winkler officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Afton. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Wed. at church.
