Harry Darst

"Snook" of Cottage Grove died Sunday evening August 12, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.
Harry Patrick Darst was born June 8, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Murray & Nola (Cummings). He was raised in St. Paul and graduated Harding High School in 1954. On December 20, 1958 he was united in marriage with Allison Glenda Humphreys in St. Paul. Harry worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 37 years. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and taking care of his grandkids. He loved his coffee and was a great storyteller who was always joking.

Beloved husband of 53 years of Allison; loving father of Patrick (Barbara), Gary (Jana), Thomas, Brian (Rachel), Heidi (Timothy) Kelly; grandchildren Jason, Kayla (Theo), Brittany, Kyle, Ashley, Tiffany, Justin, Tyler, Blaise, Rita; great-granddaughter Elena; brothers& sisters Donna, Dolores, Robert (Nita); sisters-in-law Joanne & June. Preceded in death by parents Murray & Nola; brothers and sister Harvey, James, June & Edward. Visitation 11AM-1 PM Thursday with 1 PM Memorial Service at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove. Inurnment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
