Gordon Mueller

Gordon Mueller age 90 of Cottage Grove died Monday morning January 31, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul.
Gordon was born January 18, 1921 in St. Paul the son of Bernard & Edith (Hendrickson) Mueller. He was raised in St. Paul. On June 15, 1946 he was united in marriage with June Shoquist at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City, Minnesota. Gordon is a 22 year United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed boating, camping, square-dancing, gardening, traveling and cooking. He played baseball for V.F.W., American Legion and Navy teams. Gordon was a cook in the Navy and reached the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He served during WWII and the Korean War. Gordon worked twenty years for the US Postal Service.
He is the beloved husband of June; loving father of Michael (Betsy), Diane (Ronald) Schueller, Thomas (Gayle); grandfather of Lisa, Chris, Erin, Joseph, Jessica, Daniel, Lee & Cole. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Gerry & Joan.
Funeral Service 11 AM Monday (February 7) with visitation 9:30-11 AM at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd, Cottage Grove. Interment Ft. Snelling.
