Gerald “Jerry” Wallace Courneya passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Jerry was born on September 21, 1935 to Gertrude and Harold Courneya in Saint Paul, MN.

He was a huge hockey fan and loved riding his motorcycle across the country on numerous trips.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Mark, John, Tom (Amy), James (Tracy), Laura (John Stauner), Shari (Gary) Schwartz, and Jenny (Pat) Moen; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Gene (Arlene); special sister-in-law, Mary (Jerry) Anderson; lifetime best friend, Dean Shearen; and many loving friends.

He is preceded in death by son-in-law, Mark Boggess; both parents; brother, David (Joan); and sister, Mary.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S, Cottage Grove, MN) at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home 3-7pm.
