Geraldine Nelsen

Geraldine L. "Gerry" Nelsen was born November 26, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Chester & Alice (Westerlund) Gregory. She grew up on the East Side of St. Paul attending and graduating from Johnson High School. Gerry was set up on a blind date with Glenn Nelsen while he was on military leave from the US Navy. They married in St. Paul in 1952. After living in different areas of St. Paul they bought their home in St. Paul Park in 1956 and raised their four children. Gerry and Glenn called Park Cafe their home away from home; they enjoyed many meals and memories there. Gerry loved trips to the casino; especially Treasure Island, you could find her at one of the many slot machines. She also enjoyed catalog shopping, at times receiving as many as 12 catalogs a day in the mail. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by very loving husband & father, Glenn. Survived by children, Deb, Greg(Lynne), Steve(Paula), and Dan(Lorinda); 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. " A life lived with love in abundance- given and received. Thank You!"
