Gerald R. "Jerry" McCleary
73 of Cottage Grove died peacefully January 11, at Regina Care Center in Hastings.

Funeral service 11:30 Friday, Jan. 15 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with visitation starting at 10:30. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi. In lieu of flowers memorial preferred.

Jerry was born September 15, 1942 in Plum City, Wisconsin the eldest of 4 to Howard & Evelyn (Winn) McCleary. His family lived in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin until 1951 when they moved to St. Paul Park, Minnesota. Jerry graduated from Park High School in 1962 and in the same year met Jeanne Frame. They married in 1966 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and spent time living in St. Paul Park, Inver Grove Heights and in 1973 settled in Cottage Grove. Jerry worked for Huot Manufacturing as a Machinist for 37 years, retiring in 2007. In his retirement Jerry enjoyed spending time on the golf course, primarily at Hidden Greens and playing cards. He will be missed by his loving wife of almost 50 years Jeanne; siblings Sharon (Gary) Drkula, Terry (Diane); nieces & nephews; sister-in-law Lil (Rod) Johnson. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and sister Cathy Nordstrom.
