56, of Saint Paul, died unexpectedly Monday, December 11, 2006 at his home in Saint Paul.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Kok Funeral Home in Saint Paul Park. Burial of his cremated remains will be in Newport Cemetery, Newport.
Gerald A. Martin was born November 18, 1950 in Starbuck, Minnesota the son of Elizabeth Sylvester. He was untied in marriage to MaryannWirtz in 1978. The couple later divorced. Jerry had owned and operated his own towing service in the area for many years. He especially enjoyed music and motorcycles.
He is survived by two daughters; Laura and Michelle Martin of Saint Paul, two granddaughters; Cortney and Hailey, his step-son, Brian Poppoff of Plymouth, his step-daughter, Lecia Setter of Tomah, Wisconsin, his sisters; Shelly & Judy and his former wife, Maryann Martin of Saint Paul.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Sylvester.
