Gerald Bjork

age 77, of Newport , MN passed away on July 8, 2008 .

Gerald Dean Bjork was born May 29, 19 31 in Ellsworth , Wisconsin the son of Herbert & Martina (Mewhorter) Bjork. He was raised in Ellsworth and Beldenville, and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1949. On February 3, 19 51 he married Catherine “Katie” Rowan in Hastings .

Survived by loving wife of 57 years Catherine “Katie”; daughters Cheryl Olson, Bonnie; granddaughters Lynda Fisher, Dawn Acree; the pride and joy of his life great-grandson Noah Acree; siblings; many nieces and nephews.

Employed 20 years by Swift and Company and 20 years by School District 833. Lions Club Member over 40 years.

Funeral Service 2 PM Friday July 11, 2008 at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park (651-459-2875). Interment Newport Cemetery . Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday and 1-2 PM Friday at funeral home.
