George Hoyt

Age 73, formerly of St. Paul Park passed away Tuesday, March 20 in St. Paul.
George was born on January 3, 1939, in Eau Galle, Wisconsin the son of Webster and Julia (Myrell) Hoyt. He lived in Wisconsin until he was 16 years old when he moved to the Twin Cities. He married Lillian Grout and moved to St. Paul Park where they raised three children together until Lillian's death in 1979. He later married Betty Lehman on June 22, 1985 at United Congregation of Christ in St. Paul Park, together they moved back to Georges' home town of Eau Galle, Wisconsin.
George was proud of his work as the Chief of the St. Paul Park Police Reserves and the 16 years he spent on the St. Paul Park Fire Department. He worked at Schumacher's Garden and Feed Center for many years as a feed grinder. In his later years he busied himself working many different odd jobs. George enjoyed woodworking, gardening, deer-hunting and tinkering on projects. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.

George is preceded in death by his first wife Lillian; parents; daughter, Wendy Tierney; brother, Mike Hoyt and sister, Bea Williams. He is survived by his wife; Betty Lehman; children; Shellie Breisler, Jeffrey (Gail) Hoyt, Rodney (Stephanie) Lehman, Brian (Julie) Lehman and Kathy (Steven) German;16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother; Webster (Doris) Hoyt Jr., and Dennis (Patricia) Hoyt; sister; Carol (Bob) Skonseng; sister-in-law, Loretta Hoyt; many nieces, nephews and friends.
