Frederick Louis Super, 86, was born on September 14th, 1935 in Flensburg, Minnesota. He died peacefully at Inver Glen Senior Living in the early morning hours of November 15th, 2021. Fred graduated from Washington High School and served 6 years in the Air Force, before attending Rasmussen College.

Fred was preceded in death by parents Louis and Helen Super and Godel in-laws. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Myrna (Godel); daughters Stephanie (Jerry) Devaney, Cynthia (Jaim) Zuber, son Charlie Super (Ann Taylor); grandchildren Erin Devaney, Gina Devaney, Nora Super; sister Louise (Paul) Burns, brother Robert (Janet) Super, uncle James (Shirley) Piekarski, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A longtime employee of Sears Roebuck on Rice Street in St. Paul, Fred enjoyed bowling, golf, racquetball, card games, exercising at Life Time Fitness and the YMCA, and garage sales. Fred cherished time spent with family and friends. He was a fierce learner and loved sharing his knowledge with all who would listen, including his beloved grandchildren whom he loved deeply. He was one of a kind. A truly unforgettable man, as all who were in his presence were sure to note! The family would like to thank the staff of Inver Glen Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate care Fred received at the end of his life.

A visitation with the family will be held Saturday, December 4th at Kok Funeral Home in Cottage Grove from 1 pm- 4 pm, with a Memorial Service at 2 pm. Fred will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Masks are requested to be worn by the family. The Memorial Service will be live streamed (and recorded) at https://www.kokfuneralhome.com/.
