Frank Vruno

"Blackie" Frank Vurno, Age 82 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed away January 2, 2008. Preceded in death by infant son, parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Ginny; daughters, Diane, Patti and Nikole; sons, Frank Jr. and Michael; step-children Greg, Sue and Linda; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He worked with Swift and Company for 27 years; later managing the St. Paul Park VFW. Blackie loved to hunt, fish, bowl, play softball and bocce ball. For 18 years he organized a fishing tournament for special needs children and adults. He was also well known for his spaghetti dinners. Come and join Blackie?s family at his Celebration of Life Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 12 NOON at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd., Cottage Grove, MN. Family and friends may gather Monday from 4-8 PM at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street, Cottage Grove, MN (651-459-2875). Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
