Frank P. "Egg" Schaeppi
Age 86 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on May 23, 2017. Welcomed into heaven by wife, Phyllis "Peasy"; three sons, Frank, infant twins Stephen and John; parents, and siblings. Frank was born the second youngest of ten on December 19, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Alfred & Edith (Putman) Schaeppi. He grew up in St. Paul and attended Mechanic Arts High School. Frank was a proud First Cavalry Korean War Veteran; he retired from Ford Motor Company and enjoyed 32 years of retirement. Frank was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and golfing. He was a member of the St. Paul Park Legion, union member of UAW.
Survived by loving children, Fred (Joan), Sandy (Gary) Borst, Terri Columbus; grandchildren, Joel, Brian, Melissa, Jessica, Jon, Sarah, Jen; great grandchildren, Alaina, Cora, Joel Jr., Bennett, Lylah, and baby RJ on the way; special friend of many years Audrey; many other relatives and friends. Memorial service 11 am, Tuesday, May 30 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove) with gathering starting at 9 am. A special thank you to Patti and Terry and all the wonderful staff at Healtheast Hospice for their loving care.
