Frank Donald Clark, age 87 of Cottage Grove died peacefully February 9, 2011.
Frank was born March 30, 1923 in Saint Paul the son of Frank & Clara (Klein) Clark. He was raised in Saint Paul and committed nearly forty years of his glorious life to public service with the US Veterans Administration and the Armed Services. On September 7, 1946 he was united in marriage with Annabelle Moog at Incarnation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Frank was devoted to his family. He enjoyed fishing, boating, Twins baseball, Viking football, his backyard pond and birds and his cars.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Annabelle; and son Timothy. Frank and Annabelle would have been married for 64 years had she not left this world in 2003.
He is the loving father of Pamela, Vicki (Gary) Kraemer, Terry (Catherine), Debra (Ronald) Schultz, Joseph, Christine (Rodney) Nelson; proud grandfather of Jason (Kimberly) & Jarrod Kraemer; Ryan, Stephen & Jaclyn Clark; Jessica & Nathaniel (Tiffany) Schultz; Joshua, Jacob (Rachael) & Jenna Clark; Dana, Kelly & Abby Nelson; great-grandfather of Kaden, Brady & Austin Kraemer.
Frank courageously served his country during WWII as USMC Staff Sergeant in the Pacific Theatre on the island of Peleliu. Frank was a gentle warrior who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation 4-7 PM Sunday with a 6 PM Rosary Service at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Monday at church. Memorial Mass 11 AM Monday at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 920 Holley, St. Paul Park. Inurnment Ft. Snelling.
