Ethel Riesselman, age 95 of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully on May 27, 2014.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Ben, sons Bernard and Thomas, parents, Claude and Mary Scott; sister Verna and brother Kelly. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia (Duane) Pingree of Hanover, MN; daughter, Janice of Rochester, MN; daughter, Carolyn (Tom) Koenig of Randall, MN; son, James (Sandi) of Woodville, WI,; daughter in law, Nora (John) Riesselman-Flavin of Roberts, WI; son, Lawrence (Patricia) of Cottage Grove, MN; son, Michael (Michele) of Cottage Grove, MN; 18 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brother Wally Scott of Slayton; special friend Gus Riva and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ethel Rosine (Scott) Riesselman was born on October 5, 1918 in Luverne, MN to Claude and Mary (Noonan) Scott and raised in Fulda, MN. She was married to Bernard "Ben" Riesselman on August 17, 1939 in Iona, MN. They spent many years in Glenwood, MN and later moved to Cottage Grove, MN. She enjoyed gardening, searching garage sales for antiques, tending to the plants at the senior center, and being with family and friends. Her eyes always lit up the most when her grand, great and great-great grandchildren came to visit.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Cottage Grove, MN, with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the St. Rita Building Campaign.
