Esther Gredvig-Wolf

Esther Bernice Gredvig-Wolf, age 96 of Cottage Grove died peacefully on December 7, 2015. Esther was born June 18, 1919 in Halstad, Minnesota to Theodore & Linda (Melberg) Hellerud. After graduating from Halstad High School she moved to Fertile where she met her future husband Arnold Gredvig while working at the drug store. In 1949 they moved their family to the Como Park neighborhood and raised their 4 children there. Esther was proud of her Norwegian Heritage, loved to entertain her family and friends feeding them her delicious meals and baked goodies. She also enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, spending time in her garden, and traveling.
Esther is survived by her loving children Annette Dawson of Farmington, MN, Lois (Larry) Cohrt of Waterloo, IA, Theodore (Karen) Gredvig of Woodbury, MN; 5 grandchildren Kim Ebetino (Mark), Susan (Joe) Tullar, Mike (Tracy) Rupkey, Leeann (Rich Kingsbury) Dawson and Anders (Ruthie) Gredvig; 8 great grandchildren; sister Jean "Audrey" Eastvold of Apple Valley, MN; step sons John (Joan) Wolf and Jim (Betty) Wolf; step daughters Margaret (Jim) Bloemendal and Mary (Jim) Hanson; 10 step grandchildren and 21 step great grandchildren; 2 step great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents Theodore & Linda Hellerud; husbands Arnold Gredvig and Raymond Wolf; daughter Sharon Gredvig; brother John Hellerud and sister Hazel Carlson.
Funeral service 11am Friday, December 11, 2015 Como Park Lutheran Church (1376 Hoyt Ave. W. St. Paul) with a visitation starting at 10. Interment Concordia Cemetery in Fertile, MN in the spring.
