Elizabeth "Katie" Klug, age 84 of Cottage Grove, passed away February 16, 2016 surrounded by many of her loving children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth Catherine (Roeser) Klug was born April 9, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Joseph and Jane (Walsh) Roeser and grew up in the Como area of St. Paul. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Edward Klug on November 7, 1950. In 1956, they moved their young family to Cottage Grove.
Elizabeth had a great love for many things such as nature, camping, traveling, reading and her friends. Her main love was for her family of 11 children, their spouses and her grand and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth's deepest love and devotion was to her Lord, above all. Her faith was a light on to her feet and an example to all who knew her, leaving a legacy of immeasurable worth.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edward; siblings Margaret, Marty and Roman; daughter-in-law Linda. She is survived by her children Mary (David) Limberg, Marv (Judy), Rick (Mary), Jane (Tim) Olson, Diane (Dave) Gunter, Beth (Brian Tape), Ed, Patty (Mike) Miller, Steve (Karmen), Theresa (Bryan) Murray, Molly (Roy) Barret; 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; God sons Mike Klecker and Mike Roeser.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Avenue, St. Paul Park and also one hour prior to the service at church. Private interment will be held at a later date at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mike Roeser, Mike Klecker, Mark Limberg, Jamie Klug, Mike Klug, David Gunter, Jim Miller, John Miller, Andrew Klug, Brent Murray, Finn Barrett, Tom Klug, Matt Miller, John Klug and Joe Klug.
