Elaine Mann

Elaine Yvonne Mann, age 59 of Cottage Grove, passed away February 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace in St. Paul surrounded by her beloved family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 12 noon, Sat., Feb. 18, 2017 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow from 1-4:30 pm at the VFW Red Barn, 9260 E. Pt. Douglas Road, Cottage Grove. Memorials will be directed to the Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul.

Elaine was born September 13, 1957 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gerald and Ann (McCrory) Ennis. She grew up in St. Paul and in 1962 moved to Cottage Grove where she graduated from Park High School in 1975. The following year she met Gerald Mann and they were married August 25, 1979 in Cottage Grove. They lived in St. Paul Park for a short time before settling in Cottage Grove. She worked at her dad's restaurant, Jerry's Café for several years, a printing company in West St. Paul and also West Publishing/Thompson Reuters.

She loved to travel to a variety of her favorite places including Belfast, Ireland, Arizona and Florida. Elaine also enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and spending time at their lake home on Lake Mille Lacs.

She was an active volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and the Cottage Grove Strawberry Festival planning committees. Elaine enjoyed entertaining at her home, spending time with people and being with her family and beloved grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her husband Gerald; daughter, Chrystal (fiancé Ryan Trosvig); son Troy (Angela); grandchildren Braden, Mariella and one on the way; parents Gerald and Ann Ennis.
