Edward Leithauser

"Bubby" of St. Paul Park
January 4, 1926 – April 16, 2014

Edward John Leithauser was born January 4, 1926 in St. Paul the son of Edward & Ruth (Walstrom) Leithauser. He was raised on St. Paul's east side and graduated from Harding High School. On July 10, 1955 he was united in marriage with La Verne Barbara Opatz in Wisconsin. Edward served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked at the airport postal facility and drove school bus for District 833.

Ed enjoyed billiards, playing cards and playing and watching golf. He loved to drive.

Edward is survived by his wife La Verne (Opatz); children Barb (James) Allan, Deborah, Tim (Deb), Steve, Jim (Julie); grandchildren Nicole, Alexis, Mallory, Allison, Callie, Jason, Cole, Matt, Kylee; great-grandchildren Olivia, James, Nicholas, Nathan, Aubrey; sisters JoAnn, Margaret, Carol.

He was preceded in death by son Edward, and sister Doris.

Visitation 10:30am-12:30pm Monday with 12:30 Funeral Service at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
