Edward "Ed" Joseph Wren

Edward Joseph Wren was born on March 2, 1941, to parents, William "Bill" and Jenny (nee Hansen) in New Rockford, North Dakota. He was the youngest of six children. While in high school he met his future wife, Ann Hungness. He moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in 1960 where Ann later joined him marrying in 1963. Together they raised their three children in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. He worked at Electro Plating and Engineering Company for seven years before transitioning into a new role in the plating shop at Northwest Airlines in 1967. He then worked in the engine shop reconditioning parts and later moving into rebuilding compressors for the 747's and DC10's and retired after 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and going to the casino. Ed passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family. The family would like to thank HealthPartners Hospice for their care and compassion.

Preceded in death by wife, Ann; parents, Bill and Jenny; siblings, Jim, Tom, Carol Johnson, and Bob. Survived by children, Mark (Sally), Marit (Dave) Oberg, and Brad; granddaughters, Marissa (Curran) Rooker and Holly (Jake) Dodd; and sister, Janet Guler.

Visitation 10:30 AM with Memorial Service beginning at 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016 with luncheon following. Interment at a later date at Grandfield Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sheyenne, North Dakota. 

No memorials preferred.
