Edward Bartizal

Edward "Bart" C. Bartizal, 66 of Cottage Grove went to rest on June 18, 2017 surrounded by loving family. Survived by wife of 23 ½ years Julie; sons, Matthew, David (Krissy); siblings, James, Mary (Pete) Donnelly, Jody (Jerry) Warring, Debbie (Michael) Erickson; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Josephine. Memorial service 11 am, Friday, June 23 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) visitation starting at 10 am. Memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association.

Edward was born October 3, 1950 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Edward & Josephine (Liska). He grew up in the Highland Park area, graduating from Highland Park High School in 1968. Edward worked for West Publishing for over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards, hunting. As his health declined he and Julie loved watching movies. John Wayne movies were at the top of his list, especially McLintock & Chisum. They also enjoyed time at the casino.
