Drake Gengnagel

Loving Partner, Son & Brother

Age 47 of Minneapolis , formerly of Cottage Grove , passed away July 10, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Drake was born October 22, 19 60 in St. Paul the son of Bruce & Karen (Applequist) Gengnagel. He graduated from Park High School in 1979.

He is survived by his parents Karen & Bruce; brother Curt (Christy); sister DeAnna (Brian) Nelson and partner Dennis Allen. Drake is the beloved uncle of Alyssa, Leah and Kent.

He was formerly employed as manager of fine jewelry at Daytons, Mpls. Drake will be remembered as a sensitive, loving, compassionate giving person who enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and nature. He was a practical jokester, a gifted vocalist and had a contagious laugh.

Funeral Service 12:30 PM Wednesday July 16 at LAKEWOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S , Minneapolis . Visitation 11:30-12:30 Wed. at Lakewood .. S. Minneapolis

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Josephs Hospice; American Cancer Society, or the Youth Service Bureau of Cottage Grove.
