Dorothy Holes

Dorothy Anne "Dodie" Holes, age 70 of St. Paul, passed away Oct. 23, 2015 at White Pine Assisted Living in Cottage Grove.

A memorial service will be 7 pm, Wednesday, Oct 28, 2015 with visitation one hour prior at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul will be Thursday.

Dodie was born June 20, 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Earl and Anne Johnson. She attended the Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, graduating in 1963. She went on St. Paul Technical College to receive her training as an esthetician. She was employed at Dayton's and Elizabeth Arden in St. Paul for several years. Dodie was an avid gardener, and enjoyed garages sales and travelling to a variety of places including Ireland and Hawaii. She was also a caregiver for visiting angels during the final years of her working career. Dodie adored children and loved being with people.

Dodie is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Anne Johnson and sister Marilyn. She is survived by many dear friends. A special thank you to the staff at White Pine in Cottage Grove for their kindness and care.
