Donald Michael Sherer

Donald M. Sherer, age 81, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

He was born on October 15, 1941.

Donald grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Washington High School. He worked at Armours Meat Packing before being drafted into the Army where he served in Viet Nam. He then returned to Armours until it closed. He then went into over the road trucking until he retired.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. Sherer and Viola (Meier) Sherer; sister-in-law, Marie Sherer; brothers-in-law, Tim Waters and Ken Pekarek; nephew, Jim Meier; and great niece, Breanna Burvee.

He is survived by his siblings, Kathy Pekarek, Roger Sherer, Bob Sherer, Jack (Pat) Sherer, Gail (Steve) Burvee and Bonnie Waters; 18 nieces and nephews; 27 great nieces and nephews; and 13 great great nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National cemetery at a date to be determined.

Celebration of life service to be determined.
