Donald Langstrom

Donald Langstrom, age 78 of Cottage Grove, formerly of St. Paul, passed away on August 7, 2015 at Region's Hospital while surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.

Donald E. Langstrom was born June 17, 1937 to Gunnard and Helen (Quigley) Langstrom. He was later married to Josephine Massa at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in St. Paul. Don took a job at the Ford Motors Assembly Plant where he was a tug driver for 30 years. "Duck", as he was fondly known by his co-workers, retired in 1994. He and Josephine moved in Cottage Grove the following year. Don enjoyed fishing, horses, trips to the casino and playing cards. Don had an extreme love for his family and enjoyed being a grandpa.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Daryl Stewart. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Josephine; children, Steven (Sharon) Langstrom, Diane Stewart, Debra (Gary) Bergstrom, Donald Jr. (Sue Mishler) Langstrom, Jacklyn (Skip) Miller, Joleen (Jim Johnson) Langstrom, David (Brenda) Langstrom; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
