Donald Eiffler

March 21, 1928 — June 8, 2015

Donald R. Eiffler, age 87 of Prescott, WI, formerly of St. Paul Park, passed away at the Prescott Nursing and Rehab Center in Prescott on June 8, 2015.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 1:00-5:00 pm at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park. Private interment will be at a later time.

Donald Ray Eiffler was born March 21, 1928 in Hinkley, Minnesota to Martin and Christine (Erickson) Eiffler. He grew up on the family farm near Hinkley where he was one of 10 children. He did various jobs through the years including fire fighting in Yellowstone National Park, Armour Meat Packing Plant in South St. Paul and Fritz's Candy Company in Newport. He entered active duty with the Army National Guard in 1948 and served for four years. Don was married to Fay Johnson in 1962 and they were blessed with five children. He loved being with his kids and grandkids and especially enjoyed hot weather and cold beer. He enjoyed going on bike rides, hunting, hikes in the woods, canoeing and bonfires. Don was kind hearted, gentle and had a great sense of humor.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Christine Eiffler; siblings, Alvin, Ethel, Joyce, LeRoy, Marion. He is survived by his five children, Kathleen (Derald) Linder, Ronald (Karen) Eiffler, Richard Eiffler, Wendy (Mike Childs) Hageman, Kim (Cory) Krueger; grandchildren, Maggie, Nina, Rachel, Julia, Mitchell, Melanie, Jaime, Dylan, Cailin, Sunny and Kash; great-grandchildren, Jack, Linzie, Cameron, Ebba; siblings, Dorothy, Betty, Marlene and Martin Jr.
