Dominic L. Schmit, age 87, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Beverly Schmit and Fran Grones; and brother, Bob. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Lorraine; children, Cindy (Ron) Reische, Steve (Cheryl), Jan (Dave) O'Ryan, Jim (Linda), and Terry (Jay) Slininger; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Helen); sisters, Barbara (Curt) Ohm, Sandra Johnson; sister-in-law, Cathy Schmit; and brother-in-law, LeRoy Grones.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park, MN, 55071.
Private family interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
