Dianne Luger

Dianne Luger, age 77, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 13, 2021.

She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from North High School in North St. Paul in 1961.  Dianne met the love of her life Douglas Luger and they were united in marriage on August 3, 1963.  They moved to Cottage Grove where she invested her life in mentoring and supporting her children.

Dianne worked in a retail early in her life, but after the kids grew up she took on a part-time position at the Cottage Grove Library.

She and Doug enjoyed spending time together and were members of a local snowmobiling and bowling club.  They enjoyed making memories at the family cabin in northern Minnesota which Doug built.  Her grandchildren were the light to her life and they affectionately called her “Maga”.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Eleanor and brother Jonathan.  Dianne is survived by her husband of 58 years Doug; children Kim (Brad) Held, Pam (Tim) Spencer, Jerry (Michelle) Luger and Steve (Krista) Luger; grandchildren Dylan, Bailey, Zach, Spencer, Mackenzie, Ethan and Lexie; great-grandchildren Jacob and Freya; siblings Kathleen Nelson, Denise (Sam) Johnson, brother-in-law Greg Luger and sisters-in-law Mary Nelson and Chris Luger.

Funeral service will be 11 am, Friday, August 20, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North St. Paul.
