Diane Weitzel

Diane Weitzel, age 65 of White Bear Lake, died Friday afternoon October 19, 2012.

Diane Marie was born May 22, 1947 in Saint Paul the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Baker) Pearson. She was raised on St. Paul's east side and graduated from Johnson High School in 1965. She worked at the Maryland Clinic. In 1966 she was united in marriage with Duane Weitzel in Florida. Diane enjoyed traveling, especially with her high school friends to Hawaii and with Inquiry Wilderness Travel. She volunteered at canoe shops for Inquiry and will be remembered as a huge Twins fan.

Diane is the wife of husband Duane; beloved mother of Brenda (Greg) Moody, Erik, Chad; grandma of Tyler, Shane, Wyatt, Cleigh, Drew, Troy; daughter of Hazel Baker; sister of Dave Pearson; step-sister of Brad (Denise) Baker.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald Pearson.

Funeral Service 1 PM Tuesday with visitation starting at 11 AM at COTTAGE GROVE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 7008 Lamar Ave. Cottage Grove.
