Dennis Heldman

Dennis “Denny” Heldman, Age 80, died peacefully in his home in Cottage Grove. He was born in Chicago on Dec. 19th 1936 to parents Floyd and Ruth Heldman. He is the oldest of four siblings including his surviving sisters Barbara (Duane) Hilmas and Cheryl (Fred) Freeman as well as their departed brother Barry (Mary) Heldman. He is survived by his wife Lucy Heldman, whom he married on Sept. 10th, 1977. He is also survived by his three children Mike (Chris) Heldman, Michelle (Jeff) Will, and David (Meghan) Heldman, 6 grandchildren Tim (Mary Beth) Heldman, Aimee (Travis) McIntyre, Derrick and Tyler Will, Grayson and Stella Heldman, and 4 great-grandchildren Tucker, Adrianna, Landon, and Easton Heldman. Dennis leaves behind a lifetime of memories including his service in the army, his passion for street rods, his appreciation for the outdoors, his time on the water, and his love of hockey. He was also an active member of his church, Shepherd of the Valley 14107 Hudson Rd S, Afton, MN 55001, whom will host a Funeral Service Friday, Dec. 1, at 11:00 am, visitation starting at 10:00 am. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.Memorials to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, or Donor’s Choice are preferred in place of flowers.
