Dennis Herman Dignen was born April 27, 1951 in New Prague, Minnesota the son of Hugh & Alma (Mach) Dignen. He was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from SouthWest High School in 1968. In May of 1970 he married Diane Richardson at The Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. Dennis retired as a gunnery sergeant after a 21 year U.S. Marine Corps active duty career.
Beloved husband of Diane; loving father of Darlene (Dan) Krieger of St. Francis; grandchildren Carolyn & James; brothers Gilbert of Minneapolis, Warren (Kathleen) of Billings, Montana; sister Dianne (Joseph) Williams of Bloomington.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at the Basilica of St. Mary, Hennepin & 16th, Minneapolis. Interment with military honors Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Reception following interment at the Airport Hilton Presidential Suite 1200. The Hilton is located at 3800 American Boulevard East. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Thursday at church
