Delores Lorraine Burgmeier, age 83 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Monday, August 22, 2016 at Church of St. Rita, 8694 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Delores Lorainne Burgmeier was born April 20, 1933 to Anthony and Leona (Dritz) Surma. She was married to Richard John Burgmeier on September 7, 1956 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They lived in St. Cloud and South St. Paul before settling in Cottage Grove. She loved her family and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and infant daughter Rose Marie in 1966; parents, Anthony and Leona Surma; siblings Marie, Bernadette, Josephine, Gertrude, Dorothy, Judy and Tony. Survived by sons, Robert (wife Caroline and children Robert J., Michael, Danielle, Nicholas), Ron (wife Jodell and children, Sabrina, Natasha), Roger (wife Cheryl and daughter Shanna (Will) Van Duzer); sister Virginia Surma.
