of Cottage Grove passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 27, 2006 at Woodbury Health Care Center in Woodbury, Minnesota.
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Delores Marie was born June 17, 1913 in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Clemant & Aurora (DuPree) Langevin. She was rasied on St. Paul's east side. On February 5, 1932 she married William "Bill" Berdt. He died in 2001. Delores enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, doing crosswords. She loved taking care of babies.
Preceded in death by husband William "Bill"; parents Clement & Aurora Langevin.
Survived by daughter Jean (Russ) Gausman of Cottage Grove; step-son Jim (Jean) Brey of Lake Mills, Wisconsin; grandchildren Roxanne Burns of Oakdale, David (Susan) Gausman of Lino Lakes, Claudia (Scott) Weisskirk of Columbia, Missouri, Paul Gausman of Somerset, Wisconsin, Matthew (Becca) Gausman of Shakopee, Maryann Ostrander of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Linda (Jeff) Glendon of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Elizabeth Brey of Madison, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren Bradley Bender, Alison Burns, Patrick (Stacy) Jeffrey, Meghan Jeffrey, Sean Jeffrey, Michael Jeffrey, Brian Gausman, Leslie Ostrander, Leah Brey, Morgan Schnapp, Melissa Flood and Rebeccah Glendon; great-great granddaughter Molly Marie Jeffrey. Delores and Bill built Birch Harbor resort near Park Rapids, Minnesota and then restored and owned Pine Grove Lodge resort near Deer River, Minnesota. They filled many lives with memories of their hospitality and welcoming smiles at the resorts they loved so much. Delores will be missed by family and friends. Memorial Service will be scheduled in late January. Private family burial at Cottage Grove Cemetery. Thank you to the staff at Woodbury Health Care Center and at Heartland Hospice for all their care.
