Mother, grandmother, sister, and nurse Debra Jean Monjeau’s life didn’t come to an end with death. Debby found peace with the Lord on June 12, 2021. She passed suddenly due to health-related complications after a peaceful morning of reflection and conversation at her home in South St. Paul.
A Thompsonette, a Dayton’s model, and an accomplished flautist, Debby graduated from Park High School in 1971. She went on to live her mission of helping others as a Licensed Practical Nurse, working for years in nursing homes, ending her career at the Veteran’s Administration.
For Debby, life was just beautiful. She found joy in her faith, and in nature. Praying, walking, collecting rocks, being creative, and talking with her children, grandchildren and many friends and family members. She’ll be fondly remembered as a humble and loving woman who enjoyed music, good food, and life’s simple pleasures.
Preceded in death by her son Gerrell; father Bob; uncle Ron; brother in-law Dwain and beloved grandparents Milt, Olivette, Bob and Ester.
She is survived by her mother Donna; daughter Monica (Ryan); son Terrell; grandchildren Santino, Lincoln and Marshall; brother Mike (Janna, Sandy & Josh, Michael & Samantha, Lindsey & Nick, Matt); sister Suzie (Sarah & Tim, Laura & Adam); brother Bobby (Sue, Shane, Josh, Stacy); her special friend Jim and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Join us as we celebrate Debby’s life. Her service is Monday, June 21 10a.m. at St Augustine’s Catholic Church 408 3rd St N, South Saint Paul, MN 55075. Visitation will begin at 9a.m.
