Deborah Marie Younkin

Deborah "Debbie" Schneider (Younkin) passed away on September 5th, 2024 at the age of 52. She put up a courageous fight battling melanoma cancer for 19 years. At the time of death, she was surrounded by many people that loved her in the comfort of her own home in Maplewood, MN.

Memorial Service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Woodbury Church of Christ, 4920 Woodbury Dr.; Woodbury, MN with visitation one hour prior to service from 10-11 AM.  

Debbie graduated high school at Tartan Senior High in Oakdale, MN. She continued her education at Northeast Metro Technical College to pursue a career in Cosmetology. Pretty much everyone that knew Debbie had their hair done by her at one moment in time, as we all knew she was the best.

The simplest pleasures in life brought Debbie great joy. She loved spending time with her close friends, children, grandchildren, sisters and family. Just a simple phone call would make her day, she would chat on the phone with you for hours if you let her. She really enjoyed swimming and having barbecues back in the day at the Minnehaha Manor Apartments where she spent years living. She always got a kick out of beating all her family and friends at her favorite game of Yahtzee. I think I can speak for most that we will never forget the joy and laughter when she would yell YAHTZEE! Debbie loved a good movie, she would spend hours sometimes binge watching her favorites from the 1990’s. In her recent years, she found the love of going to church and was very lucky to have met so many kind souls there. Most everyone who was close with her, knew the love she had for cardinals and butterflies. Keep a lookout every day for those beautiful creatures, as I know she will be watching over all of us.

Debbie is proceeded in death by brother, Richard Schneider. She is survived by her daughter, Meghan (Tyler) Thai; son, Brandon Reyes; grandchildren, Ethan and Isabella Pritschet, Mila and Macey Thai and Trae Thai, due in October; parents, Kathy and Douglas Schneider; sisters, Kathleen Schneider, Patti Bryant; brother, Jacob Schneider and many other family and friends who loved her including, Jessie, Amy, Paul, Robyn, Heather, Alsonso, etc.
