Debbie Weller, 51 of Cottage Grove, passed away at her home in Cottage Grove on Sunday, April 5, 2009 following a short illness.




A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until Mass at 11:00 a.m. and again from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park. The Kok Funeral Home of St. Paul Park is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Debbie Weller was born February 11, 1958 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernard and Mary Ann (Kennelly) Heller. She grew up in Maplewood and graduated from North Saint Paul High School in 1976.


On March 23, 1979, she was united in marriage to Warren S. Weller in Saint Paul. The couple made their home in Cottage Grove and Debbie was employed at Woodbury Financial for 30 years. In 2007 she started to work for Great Lakes Higher Education. She enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, shopping, time at the cabin and her girls’ week-ends that she had been a part of for 28 years.




She is survived by her husband, Warren S, and son, Warren J., both of Cottage Grove, her daughter, Angie (Chad) Weller-Jackson of Prescott, her grandchildren, Calen & Chad Jr., her parents, Bernie (Mary Ann) Heller of Maplewood, three brothers; Butch of Fridley, Mike of Maplewood and Pat Heller of Afton, two sisters; Sharon (Greg) Hill of Centerville and Lynn Heller of St. Paul, her best friend, Loretta Hunt of Tucson, Arizona and many friends and relatives.
