David P. Underwood

David P. Underwood, age 83, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Preceded in death by parents, Burton and Kathlyn; son-in-law, Jason Pauly; brother-in-law, James Lindell; and nephew/Godson, Robert Lindell.

Survived by devoted wife of 62 years, Margaret "Peggy"; daughters, Maria (Dean) Gathje and Suzanne Pauly; grandchildren, Sarah and Molly Gathje, and Anna, Joseph, Carrie, and Michael Pauly; nephew, Jim (Terri) Lindell; niece, Kristen Lindell; and many cousins, family, and friends. 

David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, graduated from Michigan State University, and worked many years as a packaging engineer at 3M. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and woodworking. 

Celebration of Life 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. 

Memorials preferred to St. Luke Lutheran Church (Cottage Grove) or the Alzheimer's Association. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Artis Senior Living of Woodbury for their care and compassion over the last year.
