After graduating from Hankinson High School Dave served in the United States Army. He attended
St. John’s
University

University
of
Minnesota
and William Mitchell College of Law. Dave was an attorney with private practice offices in
Cottage Grove
and
Newport
. He is the former City Attorney of Cottage Grove. Dave was involved in may community organizations. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, writing and skiing. Dave was a private pilot, and a gun enthusiast who built the most beautiful furniture. His family was very important to him. Mass of Christian Burial
