Loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.

Long time employee at 3M and Cottage Grove resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 77 years.

Memorial Service 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley, MN, 55124. Interment will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Darryl worked at 3M for over 30 years at the Cottage Grove Chemolite Plant as a systems control tech. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, playing with his grandkids, eating out and talking about religion and philosophy.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kay; son Michael; siblings Linda Smith, Denise Kocemba and Raymond Kocemba.  Darryl is survived by his sons Steven (Tracy) and David (Amber); grandchildren, Elena, Carmen and Emmett; sister Sharon (Bob) Pickle; brothers Russell (Lorrie) and Gary (Colleen) Kocemba and aunt Maxine Appel.
