Dale was raised in St. Paul and attended Washington High School. On December 2, 1972 he married Sherry Matykiewicz in Watertown, South Dakota. He served in the United States Army from 1974 until 1977.
Survived by wife Sherry, sons Dale Jr. of Cottage Grove, Todd (Elizabeth) of Cottage Grove, grandchildren Derek, Paige, Skylie, Logan, John, Brennan; brothers and sisters Larry (Catherine) of Cottage Grove, Roxanne (Larry) Possehl of Big Lake, Douglas (Diane) of St. Paul, Jeffery (Sharon) of Princeton, Bruce (Nadine) of St. Paul, Sue (Marvin) Oeffling of Princeton; mother-in-law Shirley Matykiewicz of Roseville; sisters & brothers-in-law Maria (Tom) Liemandt of Fort Ripley, Robert (Therese) Matykiewicz of Lino Lakes; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Donald & Rochelle, sister Deborah Roth.
Funeral service 10 AM Monday July 2 at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875). Inurnment with military honors Ft. Snelling. Visitation 4-8 PM Sunday and 9:30-10 AM Monday at funeral home.
