Dale Hillstrom

Dale Edward Hillstrom, 73 of Cottage Grove died peacefully November 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Dale was born on November 16, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Lloyd & Verma (Johnson) Hillstrom. He grew up in St. Paul and graduated from North High School in 1961. He served in the US Army for one year and worked for Fury Motors his entire career as a mechanic, retiring in 2000. Dale enjoyed winters in Fort Meyers, Florida and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on antique cars. Dale is preceded in death by wife, Janet; parents; brother, Doug. He is survived by daughter, Tricia (Pete) Kostichka; partner, Nancy Abbott; step sons; Todd (Leesa) Amon, Mark (Jodi) Abbott, Paul (Linda) Abbott; grandchildren, Dade, Dominic, Zach, Vivian, Genna, Tom and Josh. Numerous friends and other family. A memorial service will be planed at a later date.
