Cynthia "Syd" Hodgin

Cynthia “Syd” Ann Hodgin, age 65, of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

She was born in St. Paul, MN on September 18, 1952 to parents, Willis and Shirley (Roth) Olander. She attended Park High in Cottage Grove, MN. She worked at Ford Motor Company in St. Paul, MN until her retirement in 2011. Her son James was her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending her free time cooking and being with family and friends. She will be remembered by many for her smart, quick wit and personality. She was dearly known as “Squid” to her family and close friends.

She is survived by her son, James Jr.  (Jamie) Hodgin of Cottage Grove, MN; grandsons, Eli and Ethan; brothers, Bo (Dianna) Olander and Jack (Danette) Olander of Cottage Grove, MN; nieces and nephews, Ryan Olander, Mikalea Olander, Ren (Amy) Olander, David Olander, Josh Norgord, and Kristy Hickey.

Visitation 10-11 AM, with Memorial Service beginning at 11 AM, Friday, March 30, 2018 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016.
